After a standout career at Elizabeth City State University — where he starred for the Mighty Vikings and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance — Devin pursued professional basketball internationally, competing in England and Peru. Those experiences opened his eyes to a world of possibility and gave him a global perspective on entrepreneurship that few in his field possess.

When his basketball career came to a close, Devin returned home with something more valuable than a championship ring: a disciplined mindset, a deep understanding of financial risk and reward, and an unshakeable desire to build. He planted roots in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and channeled the same tenacity he showed on the court into building not one — but a portfolio of thriving businesses. As the founder of multiple upscale lounges and hospitality ventures including BarNone Sports Bar & Grill, Aroma Bar & Bistro, Purple Rain Nightclub, and Mixers Cocktail Bar Devin has proven time and again that he knows what it takes to build from the ground up, scale with intention, and keep businesses alive through every challenge the market throws.

His experience as a serial entrepreneur and multi-venue hospitality owner gives Devin something most business funding advisors simply cannot offer: genuine first hand experience.
